QM Music Scholarship holder Bairong Han is currently undertaking his master’s degree in Media and Arts Technology. Bairong started to learn playing the violin at 8 and he is currently active as both orchestral player and chamber music player. Before leading Queen Mary Symphony Orchestra, he served in many student orchestras in Birmingham including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) Youth Orchestra, the University of Birmingham (UOB) Symphony Orchestra, the UOB Philharmonic Orchestra and the UOB Chamber Orchestra. He established a piano trio ensemble named Han Trio while studying at Birmingham. He is studying violin with period violinist Miki Takahashi, and regularly receives chamber music coaching from CBSO principle cellist Richard Jenkinson. As an orchestral player, he has worked with renowned conductors include Simon Halsey, Edward Gardner, Ben Gernon, Michael Seal, Daniel Capps and Daniele Rosina.

Bairong's friends Jinwen and Yahan are both studying at the Birmingham Conservatoire. Jinwen is studying piano performance with Di Xiao and Katharine Lam. Yahan is in her first year undergraduate studying cello performance with Ulrich Heinen.
