Time: 7:00pm
Venue: The Octagon, Queen Mary University of London

Following UK Government advice concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19), It is with regret that we have to reschedule the final concert of the term featuring QMUL Orchestra with soloist Roy Wang, Choir, A Cappella and QM Jazz.  This is in line with precautions being taken by universities across the UK to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. For the latest updates and more information on Queen Mary’s response to coronavirus, please see www.qmul.ac.uk/coronavirus.

We appreciate your understanding during these exceptional circumstances. As the situation changes, we may be in contact again with updated information, including how we are rescheduling the event. We are grateful to all the performers and to Roy Wang, Queen Mary Music Society for being so accommodating, and we hope you can join us in the future.

With all good wishes and sincere apologies.

The final main concert of the academic year ends with a performance of Rachmaninov’s magnificent second piano concerto, with soloist Roy Wang.  Roy combines his studies in piano with those in medicine.  Other works include Debussy’s beguiling prelude La fille aux cheveux de lin (The Girl with the Flaxen Hair) in a newly created orchestration by QMUL student Enobong Bassey, and movements from Rossini’s Stabat Mata.
